After a weekend of beautiful weather, San Antonio will experience unseasonably cold temperatures this week, according to the National Weather Service.
Forecasters say a cold front will drop San Antonio temperatures into the mid-40s and possibly to the 30s for the Hill Country by mid-week.
Monday (High 80 and Low 57): Another day of comfortable weather with low humidity and clear skies.
Tuesday (High 80 and Low 60): The cold front should stay north of San Antonio in the afternoon but stall over the Hill Country Tuesday evening. Cloudy skies in San Antonio for the morning turning partly cloudy by afternoon.
Wednesday (High 74 and Low 62): The cold front will move through San Antonio late afternoon to evening. A 40 percent chance of shower activity is possible. By midnight, temperatures could drop in the 50s.
Thursday (High 59 and Low 54): Grab a jacket, because San Antonio will feel the cold weather all day. Morning showers are possible with a 20 percent chance of rain. The afternoon will also be breezy with winds gusting at 20 mph. By midnight temperatures could start dropping in the 40s.
Friday (High 59 and Low 45): Morning temperatures in the 40s and 30s for the Hill Country in spots like Kerrville and Fredericksburg. Don't let the sun fool you, afternoon temperatures will still be unseasonably cold.
Weekend: Southerly winds will return, allowing high temperatures to rise into the mid-60s on Saturday and Sunday. However, low temps will still be in the 40s. Overall, a cool weekend with sunny skies and light winds.
