The workweek will end on a very unsettled note.
A front moving across Florida will bring rain and a few storms to the area Friday and Friday night.
The rain could be heavy at times, and rain totals could reach up to 2 inches. Be extra careful while driving because ponding on roads is likely.
Keep up with Klystron 9 radar throughout the day to know where the rain is heaviest.
We also have a marginal risk of severe weather in the area. While the chance of severe weather is limited, gusty storms are possible.
The heaviest activity should start to move out by midnight, but a few showers will linger overnight.
In addition to the rain and storms, winds will be gusty. They'll be strongest over water, where Gale Warnings are in place through Saturday morning. North winds of 20 to 30 knots will gust to 45 knots, causing seas of 6 to 9 feet. Winds will back down slightly Saturday afternoon and night, but rough seas will remain hazardous to small craft.
Behind this front, you'll notice a big change in the temperatures. Temperatures will only reach the mid-70s Friday afternoon, and our weekend afternoons look very similar.
