Temperatures will start very mild in the mid 70s, but our highs will peak in the mid 80s with the front arriving in the early afternoon. There is a 60% chance for showers and thunderstorms when the front passes your neighborhood. The risk of severe weather is low but it cannot be ruled out. What can we expect behind Tuesday's cool front?
We should catch at least one morning in the upper 50s and a few days with lower humidity. Highs will still manage to climb into the low to mid 80s, but that's typical for early May. It will also stay fairly sunny until we get to the weekend.
What's the outlook for Mother's Day weekend?
A strong Gulf breeze will bring back the clouds, humidity, and a small chance for showers and thunderstorms. A weak disturbance passing through Saturday will give us a 30% chance for rain, but the rain chance drops to 20% on Mom's special day. Saturday morning's lows will dip into the upper 60s with highs in the mid 80s. It will be even stickier on Mother's Day with lows in the mid 70s and highs near 90. Both days will be breezy with south winds at 15-25 mph.
