The severe weather risk returns to the Front Range of Colorado on Saturday, stretching along and east of the I-25 corridor. There is a Slight Risk (level 2 on a scale of 1 to 5) of severe weather Saturday afternoon and evening.

All modes of severe weather are possible, with large hail and damaging winds possible for the eastern Plains of Colorado into the Panhandle of Texas and Oklahoma as well as western Kansas.

We also have the threat for tornadic storms on Saturday, along and east of I-25. Have a way to get severe weather alerts!

Storms will develop Saturday afternoon and evening across the higher terrain of the Rockies, and push east as the evening progresses. As these storms move into more unstable airmasses we will see the large hail threat increase along with the damaging wind threat.



The severe weather risk diminishes overnight, as storms look to contain more of a heavy rain threat. Still, a few stronger storms are possible in central and western Kansas and Texas overnight, so make sure you have a way to get those severe weather alerts.
