A cold front is coming - The Dallas Morning News

After pleasantly quiet weather across North Texas Tuesday, big changes are on the way as a cold front passes through the region today. Rain chances will be increasing through the morning, and possibly a thunderstorm, for the morning drive. There’s the potential for some thunderstorms to become strong across parts of Central and East Texas. Main threat will be damaging wind gusts, and a brief tornado cannot be ruled out. Severe weather however, is unlikely across most of North Texas, and the rain should be over with by midday for DFW with the cold front pushing through. Temperatures will fall into the low 50s by mid to late afternoon with a gusty northwest wind.

The chillier weather will be with us through the weekend with temperatures running below normal. There will be another shot at some rain by Sunday.
