BRAZOS COUNTY, tx — The pandemic has proved that online shopping is here to stay, as many businesses relied on it to stay afloat.
Diva Couture in Downtown Bryan has the clothes, the shoes, and everything in between to make a fashion statement.
“It’s like we’re up and we’re up, up, up but then covid hit," Cherrell Davis, owner of Divaz Couture said.
The clothing store opened just four months before the pandemic but it couldn't keep their loyal customers away for too long.
"I was so ready. Ready. Just ready to go shop. See the friendly faces and everything. Good atmosphere. Great customer service and everything," Shaunyelle Hornes a customer said.
Customers like Hornes stayed true during the big shopping weekend.
"We focus on the retail side but we want our customers to keep coming back. We want you to enjoy your experience while you're here. We want you to be happy with your purchase," Davis said.
The owner says sales were good on Black Friday, Small Business Saturday and Cyber Monday.
"I sell more retail but our online is, is pretty good as well. Not so much with Covid, but retail is where I sell most of my items at," Davis said.
“Stores like this, small boutiques and stuff like that. I pretty much like to go in but, Walmart, and stuff, the bigger stores, I’d rather do online and get it over with,” Hornes said.
Proving that no matter how much shopping habits may change due to the pandemic, a lot of people still want the experience.
Divaz Couture was only an online store for three years before opening their doors last year.
