Lee hails from Glasgow, Ky., and attended Glasgow High School, where she earned seven varsity letters in golf and seven more in swimming for the Scotties.
"I'm very excited to have Abbie join our program," Adams exclaimed. "She is a young lady of high character both on and off the golf course as well as a proven winner. I have no doubt that she will work hard to be very competitive at this level and will fit in great with our team."
Lee claimed Kentucky Golf Coaches Association Region 3 Player of the Year honors as a senior in 2020 and is a two-time KGCA First Team All-State and three-time KHSAA All-Region selection.
The incoming freshman has amassed seven individual championships over the last three years, collecting trophies at the 2020 Pulaski County Lady Maroon Invitational, 2020 Barren County Lady Trojan Invitational, 2020 Sneds Tour at The Grove, 2020 Sneds Tour at Swan Lake, 2019 Marion Miley Invitational, 2018 KHSAA Region 4 Championship and 2018 KGA Junior Match Play Championship.
Lee also earned runner-up finishes in the 2019 and 2020 KHSAA Region 3 Championships and claimed her first KHSAA State Championship Top 10 finish in 2020.
The newest member of the Blue Raider Women's Golf program is a four-time All-Academic Team selection at the high school level and intends to major in Mechatronics Engineering.
Lee becomes the fourth Kentucky native to come to Middle Tennessee in the last four recruiting classes – joining junior Madison Smith and sophomores Molly Bebelaar and Taylor Edlin – and hails from the same hometown as former Middle Tennessee great and 2018 Blue Raider Hall of Fame inductee Taryn Durham.
