It's not a powerful front, but it will drop the humidity in a big way for Veterans Day. You'll notice a crisper feel to the air when you step outside Wednesday morning. Lows in Houston will still be in the 60s, but north of the city lows could dip into the 50s while they will be closer to 70 around the coast. Afternoon highs will still climb into the 80s, but it will feel better with the dry air in place.
This general weather pattern will hold through Friday with lots of sunshine.
Our next opportunity for rain will come Saturday and Sunday as another front approaches. This will also be a weaker Pacific front without much cold air behind it. At this time we have a 20% chance for showers in the forecast, and by early next week temperatures will be back near seasonal levels with highs in the 70s and lows in the 50s. We might even catch a couple of mornings in the upper 40s.
