Friday will mark a return of above-normal temperatures for November, but it will be quite windy later in the evening and into Saturday.
The National Weather Service in Boulder predicts sunny skies with a high of 60 degrees. Wind speeds will hit near 9 mph in the Denver metro area, but a range of 50 to 60 mph may hit the mountains and foothills. The region is under a high wind watch starting at 8 a.m. and ending at 9 p.m.
By the evening, wind speeds will pick up even more as a mountain wave flows through. The metro area may experience speeds of 11 to 15 mph with gusts up to 33 mph. Higher elevations may even get gusts up to 80 mph. Otherwise, expect partly cloudy skies with a low of 37 degrees.
A slight chance of precipitation is coming up Saturday with the possibility of rain or snow in the morning. It will be even breezier with winds in the 21-26 mph range and increasing throughout the day. The high predicted to top 42 degrees.
