Thirty students and three staffers at the Ansonia Middle School have been ordered to quarantine for 14 days after they came in close contact with an individual on Monday who has tested positive for the COVID-19 virus.
A week after shuttering Prendergast Elementary School for two weeks, Ansonia Supt. of Schools Joseph DiBacco said three staffers and 30 students at Ansonia Middle School are being quarantined after having contact with an individual on Monday who has since tested positive for the virus.
ANSONIA — Already a red-listed city, Ansonia experienced another COVID-19 setback in its schools: this time at Ansonia Middle School.
Superintendent of Schools Joseph DiBacco said an individual who was last in the school on Monday has tested positive for the coronavirus. The school determined the individual had close contact with 30 students and three staff members.
