
HANNIBAL (WGEM) -- A Hannibal woman died after she pulled into the path of a train late Saturday night.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol report, 20-year-old Courtney Griffith was traveling north on County Road 433 when she pulled in front of an eastbound Norfolk Southern locomotive at 10:45 p.m..
Deputies said cross buck signals were used at the intersection.
Marion County deputy coroner Brent Massie pronounced Griffith dead at the scene at 11:00 p.m..
Deputies said she was not wearing a safety device.
