Yonkers police say a woman is dead after her brother allegedly shot her just before Friday night.
They say it appears the man shot his sister in front of their home on Oakland Avenue just before 6:30 p.m.

Police say the shooting happened during a domestic dispute between the siblings.
Authorities tell News 12 that the woman's elderly mother was there when it happened, but there is no word if she was injured.
Nazli Naseem, a neighbor to the family, says the mother just lost another one of her sons two weeks ago. She says there were no apparent signs of trouble in the family.
"Our kids are so close to them," Naseem says. "We'd go to them and sit down and talk on the porch."
The woman was pronounced dead at the scene and her brother was taken into police custody.
The identities of the individuals involved have not been released yet.
