**Heat Advisory for Holt County from 2 PM today through 9 PM Saturday**
A warm front is lifting through Siouxland this morning, sparking off some scattered showers and a few thunderstorms.
None of these will be all that strong and they look to end as we get into the late morning hours.
As the front lifts northward, southerly flow will start in earnest and bring much more humid air into the area.
The afternoon will be partly cloudy and muggy with highs near 90.
We only fall into the low to mid 70s overnight, setting the stage for a hot and humid weekend.
Temperatures will be in the low to mid 90s from Friday through Sunday with the heat index near 100.
Use caution to avoid heat exhaustion during the heat of the afternoon.
