Distributors ran out of food to give to families at Rogers Park Middle School within roughly 20 minutes on Thursday morning. Cars backed up out of the park and onto South Street, Mountainville Avenue and part of Main Street. Thursday, April 16, 2020, in Danbury, Conn.

... moreDANBURY — The Connecticut Food Bank will be at a local middle school on Thursday morning to distribute goods to families in need.
The mobile pantry will be at Rogers Park Middle School at 10 a.m. Volunteers will put food directly into clients’ trucks.
The Connecticut Food Bank has been coming to the middle school monthly, serving 227 households in June. Demand was so high in mid-April, that the nonprofit ran out of food.
Volunteers are needed to help from 9 to 11 a.m. Contact Anne Mead at meadan@danbury.k12.ct.us to volunteer.
