Police have identified the city’s 25th homicide victim of the year, who was shot and killed Saturday night in Scarborough’s Wexford neighbourhood.
At around 10:45 p.m., police responded to a shooting call in the Tower Drive and Brian Avenue area. Upon arriving, they found a man with a gunshot wound in front of a house.
Emergency crews transported the man to hospital where he later died. Police have identified the victim as 23-year-old Daniel Boima.
Police said Sunday that a suspect vehicle was seen fleeing the area following the shooting, but no other suspect information has been released.
