A Hanshew Middle School student was arrested Wednesday after an argument with other students in which he threatened a shooting, Anchorage police said.
School staff got in touch with the school resource officer unit within Anchorage Police Department after student reports of the argument and threat around noon Wednesday.
A school resource officer who who had been assigned to the middle school contacted the student and found that he had brass knuckles.
The student was arrested after being questioned and his charges were forwarded to the Department of Juvenile Justice, police said in an online alert.
