PUEBLO, Colo. (KRDO) -- "You are the most immature f****n kids I've ever met in my life!" shouts a male teacher at Ersilia Cruz Middle School in Pueblo.
In a cell phone video submitted to KRDO News Channel 13, a teacher at Ersilia Cruz Middle School can be heard ranting at students in an expletive-fueled speech.
The video recording, taken Monday, does not show any teacher or student's faces. The 28-second video shows very little, and the curse-filled rant itself only lasts 11-seconds. The student cameraman holds the phone pointed directly at the ground towards backpacks underneath the desks.
But the audio tells an entirely different story.
After the teacher called the kids "immature," a male student can then be heard responding to the teacher, saying, "That's fair."
However, the teacher's rant continues from there.
"The way you all act on a daily basis is a load of s***," said the teacher. "And you kids f****n know it."
From there, the curse words cease, and the class gets back into their lessons.
The Cruz Middle School has confirmed this expletive-filled rant was directed at a sixth-grade class.
"To me it sounded like he was bullying those kids," said Kenneth Fuentes, whose grandson was in that sixth grade class and sent him the recording from Monday. "There is zero tolerance on bullying and he is sitting there cussing and telling them they are pathetic. It's just unnecessary."
Richard Duran, the Chief Executive Officer of Chávez/Huerta K-12 Preparatory Academy, says the board is investigating what transpired in the cell phone video, and officials are currently interviewing witnesses and the teacher. Duran has not commented on potential penalties for the teacher involved.
"I think this teacher needs to apologize to these kids and parents," said Fuentes. "Yes, they are underpaid and overworked, but control yourself. You don't need to be cussing like that in front these kids."
