Two boys were injured Thursday, Jan. 23, in a fight that involved a stabbing and a skateboard beating across the street from Mulholland Middle School in Lake Balboa, police said.
The fight occurred about 3 p.m. in the 17100 block of Vanowen Street near Balboa Boulevard, says Officer Tony Im of the Los Angeles Police Department.
One of the juveniles was apparently beaten with a skateboard and taken to a hospital, according to police. The other said he was stabbed and also went to a hospital, police said.
Numerous suspects — some armed with scissors — were engaged in the fight, according to authorities.
Multiple people of interest are in custody, Perez said.
The Los Angeles School Police Department is handling the case.
