Middle Tennessee improved to 3-0 with a 55-46 win against Vanderbilt at the Murphy Center.
Kseniya Malashka scored 17 points, recorded six rebounds and three steals in her Blue Raider debut. Courtney Whitson had 15 points and six rebounds while Dor Saar added 12 points, seven rebounds and five assists.
MT held Vanderbilt to just 30.6 percent from the field and 2-of-11 (18.2 percent) from 3-point range.

- Middle Tennessee has made 18 consecutive postseason appearances.
- This season's roster includes six international players from five different countries.
- Middle Tennessee ranks 17th in the nation in scoring defense, allowing just 47 points per contest.
- Whitson and Saar have each scored in double figures in all three games this season. Saar has dished at least four assists in each game while Whitson is tied for 25th in the country in 3-point field goals made (12).
- The Lady Raiders have held all three opponents to less than 50 points, marking only the third time in program history that a Middle Tennessee team has held three straight opponents to less than 50 points. Two of those stretches have occurred under Rick Insell.
- MT improved to 3-0 with its win against Vanderbilt, marking the 10th time in program history the Lady Raiders have started a season 3-0.
After winning its first two games to start the season, Tennessee Tech fell at Vanderbilt by a score of 55-75 Nov. 18.
The Golden Eagles are coming off a 2020-21 campaign in which they went 15-10 overall and 12-8 in the OVC.
Anna Jones is the Tennessee Tech leading scorer, averaging 15.7 points per game. Jones is also putting up 9.8 rebounds per game. No other Golden Eagle averages more than 4.3. Anna Walker is right behind with 11 points per game.
As a team Tennessee Tech is shooting 48 percent from the field through three games.
Kim Rosamond is in her sixth season leading Tennessee Tech.
