After a good soaking overnight, the last of the rain is exiting to the east of DFW Thursday morning. A flood watch remains in effect for portions of East and Southeast Texas. A few spotty showers will be possible elsewhere, otherwise, expect partial clearing as the rain tapers off from west to east. Thursday afternoon looks dry with a return of sunshine and highs in the 80s.
Another cold front will sweep across North Texas Friday morning with gusty northwest winds behind it and a nice drop in humidity. It will be windy behind the front with gusts around 30 mph through most of the day. Nice fall weather is in store this weekend with highs in the 70s and lows in the 40s and 50s.
