UPDATE: Scene clear near Eddy Middle School after soft lockdown - WTVM

COLUMBUS, Ga. (WTVM) - Eddy Middle School in Columbus was placed on a soft lockdown Tuesday afternoon, Sept. 28.

The district was made aware of an incident off campus, but near the school that led the district to place the school on a soft lockdown, according to the Muscogee County School District.

The scene was secured and the school continued with dismissal with heightened security.

There are no further details at this time.
