Thursday will feature more heat and humidity with a chance of pop up showers and storms in the afternoon. It will be very warm with high temperature reaching the mid 90s with a heat index around 100 degrees.
A cluster of storms should develop along a cold front in Oklahoma this afternoon. These storms should move south into North Texas late Friday morning bringing scattered showers and storms as well as a drop in temperatures. The front will push into Central Texas taking most of the rain with it.
The holiday weekend will be partly cloudy and muggy with isolated storms possible, but it will not be a weekend wash out. High temperatures will be in the upper 80s to around 90.
