FRAMINGHAM – For more than a year, Cameron Middle School drama students have been performing online .
This weekend that changes as live theatre returns to Cameron Middle with three shows – Friday night, June 11 at 6:30 and Saturday at 10 a.m. and noon at the school located on Elm Street.
Students will perform Honk! JR., which is a heartwarming musical about being different.
It is sure to delight audiences of all ages with its sparkling wit, unique charm and memorable music.
Witty and hilarious, but also deeply moving, Honk! JR. will treat you to equal amounts of laughter and tears.
Ugly looks quite a bit different from his darling duckling siblings. The other animals on the farm are quick to notice and point this out, despite his mother’s protective flapping. Feeling rather foul about himself, the little fowl finds himself on an adventure of self-discovery, all the while unknowingly outwitting a very hungry Cat. Along the way, Ugly meets a whole flock of unique characters and finds out being different is not a bad thing to be.
“This delightful adaptation of the beloved Ugly Duckling fable and the award-winning musical is a heartwarming celebration of what makes us special,” said Director Terri Shea.
Performances will be held live & outside behind Cameron Middle School.
Please bring your own chairs or blankets for seating. Chairs/seating will not be provided.
Audience should park in front or on the side of the building and walk to the back, following the signs for the barnyard!
Student tickets are $5. All other tickets are $10.
Arrive 15 minutes before the show starts to purchase tickets to that performance.
