NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — A report of a suspicious package, which had been left in front of the state office building in downtown Nashville, prompted a response from the Tennessee Highway Patrol, Friday morning.
THP confirmed the package was not a threat, saying it was a contractor box that had been left at the location without anyone's knowledge.
The incident also prompted some street closures in the area.
The box was found one week after the Christmas Day bombing rattled downtown Nashville. Since then, at least 10 buildings along 2nd Avenue have been deemed unsafe.
