A 20-year-old motorcyclist was seriously hurt in San Marcos Wednesday when he crashed into a car that turned into his path, sheriff’s officials said.
The crash occurred about 12:30 p.m. when the driver of a Toyota Camry turned into a Post Office from a left-turn lane of northbound North Twin Oaks Valley Road, Deputy Yvan Rogers said. The motorcyclist was going southbound and hit the passenger side of the car.
He was thrown from the motorcycle and suffered a compound fracture to his left arm, a possible broken right arm and other injuries that were not considered life-threatening, Rogers said.
The man was taken to a hospital.
Rorgers did not say whether the Camry driver, an 80-year-old man, was injured.
Rogers said neither speed nor alcohol appeared to be factors in the crash, which was under investigation.
