Occupants of two vehicles were uninjured in an accident in front of STARS Charter School Monday. The accident happened around 4 p.m. on U.S. Highway 1 near Vass.
A Ford Ranger pickup truck slammed into the rear of a Volkswagen Jetta. Both vehicles suffered moderate damage.
Neither the driver of the truck or the two people in the Jetta required treatment by EMS.
One southbound lane of U.S. 1 was closed for a brief period while wreckers cleared the scene, and highway patrol investigated the accident.
Responding to the scene were Cypress Pointe Fire and Rescue, Moore County EMS, Moore County Sheriff’s Department, and N.C. State Highway Patrol.
