Paragon Offers New Lowering Collars For Front-Lift C8 Corvette Owners - GM Authority

worldinmiddleeast.blogspot.com

The C8 Corvette has all the right stuff to impress as a top-shelf sports car fan. However, for those customers that pair the Z51 Performance Suspension option with the Front Lift Suspension option, some of the ride height adjustability is lost, which can result in unsightly wheel gaps – definitely less than ideal for those enthusiasts focused on aesthetics. Luckily, Paragon Performance has a solution with these new C8 Corvette lowering collars.

For those who may be unaware, the optional Z51 Performance Suspension (RPO code FE3) comes with manually adjustable threaded spring seats that allow the customer to change the ride height. However, when paired with the Front Lift Suspension option, which will raise the vehicle nose over speed bumps or steeply angled driveways, that manual adjustability goes away, which means that customers will have to live with the stock wheel gap.

That’s where Paragon’s lowering collars come in.

“We all know the stock ride height is a better fit for GM trucks than a flagship sports car like the C8 Corvette,” Paragon explains. “This lowering collar is for front lift C8 Corvettes and will allow you to lower your car like other Z51 cars that do not have the front lift option. Combined with the factory rear adjustable collars you can achieve the same factory lowering capabilities as other Z51 C8 Corvettes.”

Paragon’s new lowering collars were designed in-house and 3D-printed for testing purposes. The final design was then produced using CNC machining and 6061 aluminum.

The new pieces will lower the C8 Corvette front end by 0.75 inches, matching the maximum factory rear adjustment. The collars are finished in anodized black with the Paragon logo added via laser in white. The components come with a lifetime warranty, and are offered with the option for a mag ride socket and de-pin tool.

Pricing, per the Paragon website, is currently set at $99.99.
