The remnants of Laura are far gone now with a weak front moving in it its wake. This front will bring a drop in humidity for our area Sunday with pleasant conditions to begin the day. However, another warm front sneaks back to the north by the end of the day and this will likely lead to rising humidity and the return of rain chances by sunset. Cloudy weather returns to begin the week with rain likely Sunday night through Monday. Drier weather along with some sunshine returns by Wednesday.
TONIGHT
A few showers are possible mostly west of the Blue Ridge through the evening. Quieter weather is expected overnight under partly cloudy skies. Some patchy fog will be possible in the valleys. Lows fall into the 60s for msot.
SUNDAY
Models agree an area of high pressure will be drying things out for Sunday along with cooler conditions as highs drop to the mid 70s to mid 80s with lower humidity. Bottom-line, Sunday looks amazing.
However, by sunset we’ll begin seeing showers creep back into the area with a front moving up from the south. Widespread showers look likely overnight and will carry through Monday as a disturbance passes through.
An area of low pressure look to move up from the Gulf Coast and bring more rain to the region Monday into Monday night. Afternoon temperature look to be below normal, but will rebound by the end of the week.
The tropics continue to remain active. The National Hurricane Center is currently watching two locations in the Atlantic.
