After the collision, authorities said Lambert left the station and headed to a gas station on State Street, where he bought a 2-liter bottle of Sprite. He then returned to the train station, approached an officer who was investigating the incident, pointed to the train and confessed to being involved in the death. He also admitted to being a schizophrenic who was off of his medication, prosecutors said.
