U.S. President Donald Trump on Tuesday jumped head first into the diplomatic spat between Qatar and major Arab nations. In a series of tweets, Trump praised the regional effort to isolate Qatar because of its perceived support for extremist groups. The statements were notable, since Qatar is a close US ally.
